Doechii Celebrates First Billboard 200 Top 10 With ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’

The rising star’s viral success and new physical releases push her breakout album into the top tier of the Billboard 200.

Doechii’s star power just hit a major milestone. The genre-bending artist has officially landed her first Billboard 200 top 10 as Alligator Bites Never Heal soars from No. 24 to No. 10 on the latest chart dated May 3, 2025. Fueled by the album’s first-ever wide physical release and the viral success of the track “Anxiety,” the project pulled in 33,000 equivalent album units this past week in the United States, according to Luminate.

The album, originally released in 2024 with 19 tracks, was reissued in March with “Anxiety” added as a bonus, helping it first crack the top 15. Following its expansion onto CD and exclusive new vinyl variants available at Target and Urban Outfitters, sales surged dramatically. Alligator Bites Never Heal also secured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, marking a personal best for Doechii.

Streaming remains strong too, with over 25.9 million on-demand streams contributing 18,500 SEA units this week. Despite the slight dip in streaming numbers, physical sales skyrocketed 325%, proving the huge demand for tangible editions of the record.
