On Friday night, at a packed Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City, The xx return became a reality, marking the official start of what the band calls their “next chapter.”

Appearing backlit against a hazy, atmospheric stage, the trio delivered a 19-song odyssey that bridged the gap between their minimalist indie roots and their recent explorations into club culture and avant-pop.
