Oasis Reunion Documentary Announced for IMAX & Disney+

The Guns Have Fallen Silent: Oasis Reunion to be Immortalized in Global Cinematic Event

For fifteen years, an Oasis reunion felt like a digital mirage—a collection of memes, Twitter spats, and “what-ifs.” But as Liam and Noel Gallagher proved with their earth-shattering comeback announcement, the stars have finally aligned. Now, that historic reconciliation is set to become a definitive cultural document.

A major, currently untitled documentary has been greenlit to chronicle the Oasis Live ’25 tour, promising fans an intimate look at “one of the most anticipated rock’n’roll returns of our time.” Set to hit IMAX theaters worldwide on September 11, the film will offer a limited theatrical run before finding a permanent home on Disney+ and Hulu later this year.

The Visionaries Behind the Lens

This isn’t just a standard concert film. The project is spearheaded by Steven Knight, the acclaimed creator of Peaky Blinders, who aims to capture the emotional gravity of the Gallagher brothers’ truce. Directorial duties fall to the seasoned duo of Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose previous work on Meet Me in the Bathroom and the LCD Soundsystem doc Shut Up and Play the Hits makes them the perfect candidates to handle the grit and glamour of Britpop’s finest.

Beyond the Stage: First Joint Interview in 25 Years

What sets this documentary apart is its unprecedented access. For the first time in over a quarter of a century, Liam and Noel Gallagher will sit down for a joint interview, breaking a silence that has lasted since their explosive 2009 split.

“I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but also the story of the fans whose lives have been touched by their music,” Steven Knight shared. In an era often defined by division, the film seeks to illustrate how music can still bridge generational and cultural gaps. From the tension of the first rehearsals to the adrenaline of the sold-out stadium shows, the film is poised to be a raw, unfiltered look at the legends who recently joined the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
