Universal has just unleashed the first trailer for Focker-In-Law, the highly anticipated fourth installment of the legendary Meet the Parents franchise.
Set to hit theaters on November 26, 2026 (just in time for Thanksgiving), the film introduces Grande as Olivia Jones, a high-stakes hostage negotiator. But as any fan of the series knows, negotiating with terrorists is nothing compared to surviving a weekend with Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and the formidable Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro).
The Plot: A New Kind of Focker Rivalry
In a brilliant subversion of the original 2000 film, the trailer reveals that Jack Byrnes—the retired CIA interrogator—actually likes his grandson’s new fiancée. Olivia’s background in the FBI earns her an immediate pass into Jack’s good graces, leaving Greg Focker in a state of hilarious, neurotic jealousy.
The footage shows Greg (Stiller) desperately trying to “crack” Olivia during a lie detector test, only for her to pass with flying colors. From choking on steak at dinner to a high-speed bike race in matching pink shirts, the physical comedy looks to be a return to form for the franchise. Skyler Gisondo joins the cast as Henry Focker, Greg’s son, whose engagement to Olivia sets the chaos in motion.
