Arca Drops New Album ‘XXXXX’ Via XL Recordings

Arca Unleashes Her Avant-Garde Masterpiece "XXXXX"

Venezuelan iconoclast Arca has officially returned, unleashing her brand-new 16-track studio LP “XXXXX” via XL Recordings. Arriving as the official KiCk i follow up LP—and building on the legacy of her twice GRAMMY-nominated KICK pentalogy—the record stands as her most ambitious soundscape to date. Available today on streaming platforms and physical vinyl, the highly anticipated Arca XXXXX album release cements her status as one of modern music’s most daring posthuman visionaries.

The Industrial Hallucination: Diva.Experimental

The arrival of XXXXX follows the groundbreaking Diva.Experimental transmission, a two-hour immersive livestream broadcast from an abandoned factory in Barcelona on July 23rd. Performance directed by long-time collaborator Daniel Sannwald, styled by Akeem Smith, and feature-lit by Matiere Noire, the production blurred the boundaries between live durational performance, digital streaming, and surreal hallucination across seven distinct locations.

Presented with support from Feeld, the livestream gave fans a full preview of XXXXX in its entirety prior to release. Since the broadcast, Arca shared 12 individual performance videos from the set to tease the record’s dark, mechanical pulse.

“With Feeld’s support and investment, we’re able to put on a show for you with full glam and budget. Thank you for supporting experimental art… We’re working really hard to create a great show for you, wherever you are.”

A Polymath at the Peak of Her Powers

The visual language of XXXXX directly reflects its sonic clash of raw emotion and industrial crunch. The album artwork depicts Arca as a biomechanical entity accompanied by two owls—symbols of protection and the underworld in Greek mythology. Suspended between organic vulnerability and posthuman augmentation, the record exposes the mainframe, continuing her lifelong mission of exploring transformation.

This release caps an extraordinarily prolific era for the multi-hyphenate artist. Over the past year alone, Arca made her painting debut at London’s ICA, released the double-sided single “Puta” / “Sola”, collaborated with Tokischa (“Chama”), contributed production to Madonna’s CONFESSIONS II, composed the motion picture score for Stillz’s film Barrio Triste, and remixed tracks for Addison Rae, Robyn, and Hikaru Utada.

With the Arca new album XL Recordings pressings now live, XXXXX represents a towering achievement from an artist who refuses to stay inside any cage—technological or otherwise.
