The rollercoaster ride for the SMF faithful continues. Just one month after Dee Snider announced his retirement from the stage, the heavy metal legends have pulled a stunning reversal. Twisted Sister new singer Sebastian Bach will officially take the helm for selected dates this autumn, breathing new life into the band’s 50th-anniversary celebrations.
Dee Snider’s Exit and the Sebastian Bach Connection
The news follows a period of high-stakes drama. Originally, the band planned a massive tour to celebrate five decades of rock, only to cancel it when Dee Snider cited health concerns and a refusal to “slow down.” Snider famously stated he would rather leave the stage than be a shadow of his former self.
However, founding members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda weren’t ready to let the fire die. By recruiting the former Skid Row frontman, they’ve found one of the few voices in rock capable of matching Snider’s banshee wail and theatrical energy.
“Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that the iconic Sebastian Bach will lead the band for select dates this fall,” the official statement reads.
Touring Logistics: Alaska and Beyond
The first confirmed date for this powerhouse collaboration is September 4th in Alaska. While Sebastian Bach is currently busy with his own massive “The Party Never Ends! 1989-2026” tour, the band clarified that these special appearances won’t interfere with his solo schedule.
Bach, a veteran collaborator who has performed with members of Guns N’ Roses and Mötley Crüe, brings a renewed sense of danger to the Twisted Sister catalog. Fans are already speculating which cities will be added to this limited run, as the band remains tight-lipped about the full itinerary.
