Matt Bellamy and company have never been ones for the “quiet” approach. After decades of exploring dystopian themes and stadium-sized synth-rock, Muse are officially heading into the cosmos for their milestone 10th studio album. Titled The Wow! Signal, the record is set to land on June 26, 2026, via Warner/Helium 3, marking a grand return since their 2022 chart-topper Will of the People.
To celebrate the announcement, the Teignmouth trio partnered with Sent Into Space to launch a specialized tablet 33km (over 20 miles) into the atmosphere. While floating in the near-vacuum of space, the device premiered the music video for their brand-new single, “Be With You.”

The Muse The Wow! Signal new album announcement isn’t just a catchy sci-fi hook; it’s a tribute to one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in astronomy. In 1977, a 72-second radio burst—sequence 6EQUJ5—was detected from the Sagittarius constellation. The astronomer who found it famously scribbled “Wow!” on the printout, sparking decades of extraterrestrial speculation.
Muse have always thrived in the intersection of conspiracy and grandiosity. Where Will of the People felt like a protest in the streets, The Wow! Signal feels like a prayer to the stars. The new single, “Be With You,” opens with a massive, haunting church organ—a classic Muse trope—before pivoting into a driving electronic pulse and exploding into the kind of flamboyant, high-octane guitar work that has defined their career.
Cinematic Visuals and Cosmic Mystery
The accompanying video, directed by Nico Paolillo (known for his work with Bad Omens and Deafheaven), stars Ella Balinska and mirrors the album’s themes of existential hope. Featuring a blood-red moon and a sense of impending cataclysm, the visuals align perfectly with the band’s description of the record as an exploration of the “possibility of contact with something far greater than ourselves.”
Fans who caught the band’s European tour kickoff in Helsinki last year will recognize the track “Unravelling,” which served as the first breadcrumb for this new era. With song titles like “Cryogen” and “Space Debris,” it’s clear that Muse are doubling down on the interstellar prog-rock that made them global icons.
