Lana Del Rey is about to release a country album. She announced it to the audience at the pre-Grammy Billboard event on Wednesday, January 31. There’s even a title: “Lasso.”
“We’re going country. It’s happening,” she declared from the stage. “That’s why Jack (Antonoff) has been following me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.” The result of that journey is a new album titled “Lasso.” Lana’s latest album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” was released in 2023.
Last December, Lana had surprised fans by releasing her rendition of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” A preview, perhaps? You can listen to it here:
