The sharp, monochromatic world of Interpol is about to expand across North America once again. Paul Banks and company have officially unveiled an extensive 2026 tour that promises to be one of their most significant runs to date, featuring some of the largest headlining stages the band has ever graced.
It has been nearly four years since the New York post-punk titans released The Other Side of Make-Believe, an album that showcased a more nuanced, atmospheric side of their signature sound. Since then, the band has kept their razor-sharp live edge honed, even stopping by Jack White’s Third Man Records in 2024 to capture their raw energy on a live LP. This new Interpol 2026 tour feels like a victory lap for a band that remains the undisputed architects of modern indie-sleaze and noir-rock.
The journey kicks off on July 31 in Denver, weaving through the scenic landscapes of Wyoming and Idaho before hitting major coastal hubs. A highlight for Canadian fans includes a massive show at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena—supporting sombr—followed by headlining slots at Toronto’s Sobeys Stadium and Montreal’s L’Olympia in early October.
What makes this run particularly electric is the curation of opening acts. Interpol has always had an impeccable ear for talent, and this tour is no exception. DIIV, the masters of shoegaze melancholy, will join them for the bulk of the fall dates, creating a dream lineup for fans of textured guitar work. Other select dates will feature the dreamy soundscapes of Youth Lagoon, the heavy-hitting Loathe, and the rising energy of Julie and French Police.
Tickets are set to go on general sale Friday, May 8, at 10 a.m. local time, with dedicated fans able to jump on presales as early as Wednesday, May 6. Given the scale of these venues, this isn’t just a tour; it’s a statement that Interpol’s shadow still looms large over the alternative music scene.
