Megan Thee Stallion Joins Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway as Zidler

Megan Thee Stallion Transforms Into Zidler for Historic Broadway Debut

The Al Hirschfeld Theatre prepares for a massive cultural collision this spring. Three-time Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion officially joins the cast of the Tony-winning Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Starting March 24, the Houston rapper steps into the iconic role of Zidler, the flamboyant proprietor and narrator of the legendary cabaret.

This casting marks a pivotal moment for the production as it nears its final curtain on July 26. Megan makes history as the first female-identifying performer to take on the mantle of Zidler, a role previously inhabited by stars like Boy George, Tituss Burgess, and Danny Burstein.

What to Expect from Megan Thee Stallionโ€™s Moulin Rouge Residency

The “HISS” rapper brings her signature energy to a strictly limited eight-week engagement ending May 17. Producers confirmed that the showโ€™s massive jukebox scoreโ€”already featuring 70 hitsโ€”will incorporate “a hint” of Meganโ€™s own discography. While the specific tracks remain under wraps, fans speculate that hits from Megan or Megan: Act II might blend into the spectacular arrangements.

“Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but Iโ€™m up for the challenge,” Megan stated. “I canโ€™t wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me.”

Producer Carmen Pavlovic describes the move as a “farewell gift” to Broadway audiences. By casting a global superstar of Megan’s caliber, the production ensures the show concludes its run with the high-octane spectacle that defined its 10-Tony-award legacy.

Performance Dates and Ticket Information

The “Hot Girl” takeover begins Tuesday, March 24. Megan will perform at every scheduled show during her residency, with the exception of the May 2 performance. With the production set to close this July, Megan Thee Stallion tickets for the Al Hirschfeld Theatre will likely become the most sought-after seats of the spring season.

Whether sheโ€™s delivering a “Savage” twist to the narration or bringing “Body” to the Belle ร‰poque, Megan’s transition from the charts to the stage signals a bold new chapter in her multifaceted career.
