Grammy Award-winning producer Christian Karlsson, the mastermind behind the multi-platinum project Galantis, has officially unveiled a massive roster of global talent for the highly anticipated West Coast premiere of his experiential festival concept. Set to take over the legendary venue The Midway on Saturday, June 27, 2026, the Galantis San Francisco Midsommar debut lands directly during the city’s massive SF Pride weekend, functioning as a fully immersive, interactive outdoor block party.

To help bring this surreal wonderland to life, Karlsson has recruited an elite selection of dance music royalty, including mask-wearing house maestro Claptone, French hitmaker Kungs, energetic duo Bonnie X Clyde, rising talents Raecola, and Black Pope.

A Swedish Solstice Transformed into High-Energy Reality

The event is built around the traditional Swedish holiday of Midsommar—a vibrant celebration of the summer solstice symbolizing community, rebirth, and life in full bloom. However, the Galantis interpretation strips away any rigid seasonal boundaries, turning the historical folklore into a modern, hypercolour rave.

The Midway outdoor grounds will undergo a full physical transformation into a floral paradise. Attendees can expect fully integrated interactive activations mirroring authentic Scandinavian customs—including custom flower crown crafting stations, flower queens, and traditional maypoles—all paired with the signature euphoric visual energy that has made Galantis one of the most celebrated live acts in dance music history.

A Melancholic Evolution: Galantis Enters the Counter Records Era

While his live shows are gearing up to celebrate pure brightness, Karlsson’s studio output is entering a fascinatingly deep, introspective era. The festival announcement follows hot on the heels of the Galantis new single Stay Alive, which marks a massive milestone as his debut release via Ninja Tune’s highly respected imprint, Counter Records.

The track introduces an intimate new creative chapter titled Galantis & The Devil’s Tax Return. Leaving behind standard radio-pop arrangements, “Stay Alive” functions as an intricate, emotionally complex piece of electronic production that expertly balances melancholy with a lifting sense of hope.

The accompanying music video, directed by Fredrik Egerstrand, features Karlsson alongside his iconic, fuzzy character companion Piiper wandering an empty parking lot after-hours.
