Two of Belgium’s biggest musical powerhouses are joining forces. Techno maven Amelie Lens and pop sensation Angèle have officially announced their highly anticipated collaborative single, “run”, set for worldwide release on Friday, August 7, 2026 via Sony Music / EXHALE Records. First teased during a surprise on-stage cameo by Angèle during Lens’ electrifying set at Belgium’s Dour Festival, “run” stands as a monumental moment for European electronic music.

The Only Collaboration on Amelie Lens’ Long-Awaited Debut LP ‘AURA’

Beyond its high-profile star power, “run” holds a uniquely special place in Amelie Lens’ discography: it is the only collaborative track on her forthcoming debut studio album, AURA, which arrives on September 4.

Musically, the track delivers an organic hybrid of high-octane techno and lush pop sensibility. Lens’ signature rapid-fire percussion, driving acid basslines, and sci-fi synth textures serve as the perfect foundation for Angèle’s ethereal, whispery, and almost supernatural vocal performance.

Speaking on why she sought out Angèle for the project, Lens revealed:

“Angèle’s voice was the only one I could imagine on this track. I have been such a fan of hers for so long, I think she’s a truly special talent and that’s why she’s the only other artist and only collab on my whole album.”

In an emotional interview with DJ Mag at Tomorrowland, Lens—who is expecting her second child—shared an intimate personal sentiment, hoping “run” will be the very first song her baby hears when she is born later this year.

The partnership stems from a deep-rooted friendship and mutual admiration forged over years of international touring. Angèle recalled the moment Lens reached out to her after watching her set at Glastonbury:

“I met Amelie through mutual friends, and every time we see each other, whether it’s in Belgium or somewhere else in the world, we just click instantly. I love her energy and her determination. When she called to ask if I’d be on a track from her first album, I heard the track and didn’t even have to think about it. I admire her so much, both as an artist and as a woman.”

For Amelie Lens, AURA represents the culmination of a decade spent at the pinnacle of global dance music. From her early days on Belgian dancefloors to headlining Awakenings, Time Warp, Sonar, and the Tomorrowland mainstage, Lens has built an empire through her EXHALE Records and Lenske imprints.

To mark the release of AURA, Lens will host a massive 14,000-capacity open-air event on Saturday, September 5 at Antwerp’s iconic Royal Museum of Fine Arts, produced in collaboration with the City of Antwerp.
